In line with government guidance to avoid gatherings with other people, the Hull Natural History Society has decided to cancel indoor meetings and field trips until further notice. An introduction to moths

There are around 2500 moth species in the UK with only about 60 butterflies making up the order of Lepidoptera. This will be a combined presentation aimed at the beginner, looking at these beautiful insects, monitoring methods and identification. We usually make a note of the things that we see on our excursions. When any of the above icons appear on the programme to the left, it indicates that a species list is available, either a general list covering all orders, or a list specifically for birds, plants, butterflies, dragonflies or insects.
