About the wildlife mapping project

Between 2015 and 2017 the Hull Natural History Society conducted a systematic survey of Hull and its surrounding urban areas. The map to the right shows the region we intended to cover, although some of the area, particularly around the eastern docks, was not readily accessible. The Open Street Maps image can be zoomed into and clicking on the map will display the identity of any mapped kilometre square.

Two companion pages present the results of this project in the form of distribution maps of the plants and animals encountered.
