Wild animals in Hull 2015 - 2017

Between 2015 and 2017 the Hull Natural History Society made a systematic examination of the plants of the city. The results of this survey may be seen on a companion page. During our surveys we encountered many other things, some of which are recorded here. Although it cannot be regarded as complete as the botanical survey, birds, mammals, reptiles, amphibians and various insect groups, were sometimes noted. The level of such recording was dependent on the interest and expertise of those present.

The data will give an idea of the range of animals present in Hull at the present time. Of the species recorded, birds were probably the most frequent things noted, followed by butterflies. Spiders and molluscs received scant attention.
